The concept behind the Miut jewelry brand was inspired by Egyptian mythology since jewelry and precious stones were of high importance to their status and image. The Miut storyline has been focused around an ancient Egyptian belief that cats are sacred beeings. During that time, cats held a special, divine place in their culture as the protector of the land and the people. Egyptians believed cats were magical creatures, capable of bringing good luck to the people who housed them. With this significant belief we wanted to create a feeling that our customers are “housing” something quite special.
The name Miut is ancient Egyptian word for a female cat which as a symbol, mostly carries double meanings. It balances two opposite things – for instance, light and dark, rest and action, outer and inner, up and down, good or bad...
Just like our jewelry design; light coloured metal as silver in combination with a dark stone such as sapphire, simple and complex design, emerald cut diamond and a spherical pearl...
All of these things have been taken into consideration while creating a brand that would invoke exclusivity while shopping but also inclusivity while wearing our piece.
